Hamilton/Burlington Area Author, J.L. Burbidge, Launches Novel at Family Farm

BURLINGTON, Ontario - A crowd of 60 family, friends and colleagues, hailing from Vancouver Island to Prince Edward Island and parts between, were on hand at the author's home, Forest Hill Farm, Sunday December 07, 2003 to launch Death of a Dream. Burbidge lives on the last few remaining acres of land that has been in her Family for more than 150 years.Her connection with the natural world is strong, a theme that occurs throughout her novel and so it seemed fitting to launch the book in the place where it was born. Burbidge continues to work at her writing and looks forward to 2004 when she will launch a new book, take part in public readings of her poetry and release several short stories.
